New appointees at NJ’s largest physician group include first non-physician

Summit Medical Group (SMG) announces the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors: Scott Pacific, M.D., Laura S. Zimmerman, M.D. and Mark D. Larner, Esq.

Commenting on the high calibre of the new members, SMG Chairman, Jeffrey D. Le Benger, M.D., notes, "I am delighted to lead a board with such a wealth of experience, energy and diverse skills. I look forward to working with them.”

Scott Pacific, M.D., is an anesthesiologist with SMG. Dr. Pacific earned his B.S. at the City College of New York-Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, and he earned his M.D. at the State University of New York Health Science Center, both in New York. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center also in New York. Dr. Pacific is board certified in anesthesiology.

Laura S. Zimmerman, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., is an obstetrician and gynecologist with SMG. Dr. Zimmerman earned her B.A. at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H., and she earned her M.D. at New York University School of Medicine in New York. After graduating, she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, N.Y. Dr. Zimmerman is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

Mark D. Larner, Esq., is a principal of Budd Larner, P.C., a New Jersey- based law firm and has served in that capacity since 1965. His practice focuses on business/corporate law, finance and mergers/acquisitions. Mr. Larner received his B.A. from Lafayette College, Easton, Penn., and an L.L.B., cum laude, from Columbia Law School, New York. Mr. Larner has served as an ex officio member of SMG's board since June 2010. He has previously served as a director for several profit and non profit corporations.
