Grand Prize Winner is Karen Verstuyft of Fredericksburg, Texas

When Karen Verstuyft read the bestselling memoir, Eat Pray Love, she never dreamed of following in the footsteps of its author, Elizabeth Gilbert. Verstuyft is now planning her trip to Italy, as the grand prize winner of Cost Plus World Market’s Eat Pray Love Sweepstakes. In partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment, Cost Plus World Market held a sweepstakes from July 17 through August 28, 2010 celebrating the film’s theatrical release and featured products inspired by the movie’s global themes. Along with the 15-day trip to Italy for two, Verstuyft also received a private screening of Eat Pray Love along with a $1,000 World Market gift card. Karen is looking forward to enjoying the Italian lifestyle of “La Dolce Vita.”

She states, “I’ve always wanted to experience the sights, sounds and tastes of Italy that was so wonderfully portrayed in the book and the movie.” Karen continues, “The private screening was a special moment with my family, colleagues and friends. The movie’s beautiful shots of Italy got me even more excited for my dream trip! And the World Market gift card is yet another reason for me to visit one of my favorite stores.”

Along with the grand prize winner, first and second prize winners were also announced: Traci Simon of Tucson, Ariz. who received an Eat Pray Love gift basket, a $500 World Market gift card and movie tickets and Everett Wohlers of Boise, Idaho who won an Eat Pray Love gift basket, a $250 World Market gift card and movie ticket.
