Mandala Condominiums -- a collection of 24 over-sized apartments, all with private pools and located in Phuket’s prestigious Laguna area, was 'Highly Commended' at the Thailand Property Awards 2010 Saturday, November 6th at a glittering gala ceremony in Bangkok that’s widely recognised at the Oscars of the industry. Mandala Condominiums was in tight competition with some of Phuket’s most highly-branded and well-known properties which included Andara Apartments (the award winner), Baan Yamu and Royal Phuket Marina.

Mandala Condominiums triumphed through hard times and sold eight apartments last year and are now poised to further capitalize going into Thailand’s tourism season with one of the island's only completed new developments.

Mandala Condominiums -- a collection of 24 over-sized apartments, all with private pools and located in Phuket’s prestigious Laguna area, was 'Highly Commended' at the Thailand Property Awards 2010 on Saturday, November 6th at a glittering gala ceremony in Bangkok that’s widely recognised at the Oscars of the industry.

Mandala Condominiums was in tight competition with some of Phuket’s most highly-branded and well-known properties which included Andara Apartments, Baan Yamu and Royal Phuket Marina Apartments.

Mandala was the only condominium project recognized that is located in Phuket’s exclusive Laguna area which has become Thailand’s most expensive, tropical property region. Sixteen condominiums – including two penthouses – still remain for sale in the completed community.

The award is particularly significant to the project’s developer Staffan Nordstrand who started building Mandala Condominiums at the beginning of the world financial crisis in September 2008 without any pre-sale purchases or any guarantees when the economic climate would improve.

Mandala Condominiums triumphed through these hard times and sold eight apartments last year and are now poised to further capitalize going into Thailand’s tourism season with one of the island's only completed new developments.

“We are very proud of this award as it acknowledges Mandala’s ongoing commitment to high-quality standards,” says Nordstrand a Swedish national who has been operating a construction business in his homeland since 1974. “We’ve achieved this by following very tight ISO international building standards to manage Mandala’s quality, timing and economy.”

Mandala Condominiums compares favourably with their competitors for the “Best Condominium Development in Phuket” prize based on the cost per square meter price of each development’s most expensive two-bedroom condominium.

Mandala Condominiums: 67,329 THB per m² (all with pool)
Baan Yamu: 99,684 THB per m² (with sea view)
Royal Phuket Marina: 139,053 THB per m² (with sea view)
