The Association of Poinciana Villages, the largest Homeowner Association in the United States, is launching its newest amenity: Poinciana Digital Village. The site could be seen at http://www.poincianadv.com. More than a standardized web portal, residents living in the Poinciana will be able to view real-time community news, announcements of planned activities and meetings, as well as tailor their personalized home site to their own individual interests.
Residents will have quick and easy access to what’s going on in and around the Poinciana Community. Civic and Governmental groups will have the opportunity to create their own home pages to enhance information sharing with the residents. Digital Village also provides the opportunity for local businesses to benefit from coupon offerings, hosted web pages and on-site advertising.
Similar to social sites (Facebook, MySpace, etc.), Digital Village creates a true community portal where the information on the site is relevant to the homeowners and easy to navigate. With the ability to post items to their personal calendars, store household documents, pay homeowner fees, communicate with groups and clubs and find local businesses, the Digital Village homeowners’ portal creates one point of information dissemination that further enhances the Association of Poinciana Villages’ communication with residents.
