Friends of Haiti 2010, the world's premier civic organization focused on the development of Haiti, and MinkozeTV today announced that the first and only debate among the presidential candidates for Haiti to be held in the Diaspora will be broadcasted worldwide this Sunday, November 14th, 2010 from 5pm to 9pm(EST) on Minkoze.com via streaming video feed from the WUC Ballroom of the International University of Miami (FIU), North Campus, located at 3000 N.E. 151 Street, in North Miami, Florida.
"These upcoming presidential elections are critical to Haiti's rebuilding process, particularly regarding the involvement of Haiti's Diaspora," said Mr. Patrick ELIANCY, the long time Host of Island TV who will be the moderator of the first and only Haitian presidential debate in Miami, Florida this November 14th, 2010. This unique event will provide the Haitian Diaspora and the public in general an opportunity to hear these major candidates for president of Haiti. The debate will be conducted by a panel of prominent journalists, both from Haiti and the Diaspora and will be focused on the most important topics facing the nation by questioning the candidates proposed policies and strategies for the future of Haiti. The debate will be centered around important issues such as the presence of the UN in Haiti, the role of the International Community in the rebuilding of Haiti post the January 12th 2010 earthquake, double citizenship and any amendment to the current Haitian Constitution, the role of the Haitian Army, disaster preparation and relief going forward, free education to all citizens, free health care for all citizens, and finally, how do you get a bankrupt, corrupt government out of the darkness into the light with transparency, liberty and justice for all its citizens.
Immediately following the debate, Minkoze.com will house videos of the debate in its entirety, available for viewing at any time. Videos will be "bookmarked" to allow users to easily jump to their important issues, and will be searchable and tagged by event, candidate, issues, and questions asked of the candidates.
