"If Facebook is for friends, and Twitter is for messages, Burstn is all about photos."
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 12, 2010
In today’s interconnected world, celebrities can’t even fall out of a nightclub anymore without it becoming national news in an instant thanks to the power of the internet and everyday folks snapping their photos like renegade paparazzi. As of November 10th, it’s become more user friendly than ever to capture any type of image and circulate it to your social network, thanks to a new app called Burstn.
Burstn.com combines a camera, an iPhone, and a social network all into one, making it possible to capture people, places, and things all in real time. The free app makes sharing photos online as easy as snapping a picture. According to Burstn co-founder Dave Senior, “If Facebook is for friends, and twitter is for messages, Burstn is all about photos. What our users love about Burstn is that anyone can participate in the art of photography. You don’t have to be Annie Leibovitz to capture a meaningful or funny moment and share it with your network in real time. With Burstn, you can tell any story using the coolest and simplest instant photography technology in the world.”
Burstn Founders Josh Davey and Dave Senior became fast friends at Ryerson University after being introduced by a mutual professor. Both previously worked at technology start-ups in Toronto and had their sights set on a social networking app dedicated entirely to photo sharing. Their professor recommended them for the Ryerson Digital Media Zone startup incubator and they began working around the clock to build out the platform and prototype for the iPhone. By summer of 2010, they’d been featured by Toronto Life Magazine, as well as several local TV affiliates and big investors began to take notice. They quickly scaled up to bring on the resources to make Burstn, the very best mobile photo sharing experience available on the market and the coolest looking camera on the iPhone.
Special features include rich mobile photo sharing community, automatic album creation, offline Mode (Travel Mode), and the ability to create a personal photo blog instantly with a giant stream of your favorite photos.
