Kukui IT, a company based in Kapaa, Kauai, recently received the 2010 Silver Award from the International Academy of Visual Arts (IAVA) in the real estate category. The award, administered by A3 Awards, was given in recognition of Coldwell Banker Bali Hai Realty’s new web site, located at http://www.balihai.com. These awards are bestowed in honor of superior creativity on the Web with recognition for individuals behind award winning web sites, web advertising, web video, and mobile applications according to IAVA. This year awards were selected among 3,000 entries worldwide. The new web site incorporates first-of-its-kind Google Earth mapping technology for Bali Hai Realty’s vacation rental and real estate operations. The technology provides multiple locations and prices all at one time on Google Earth maps. The site also integrates a “classic Hawaii” theme throughout providing a vintage sense of Kauai. Entrants in the annual awards program represent a wide selection of organizations that range from large international public relations and advertising agencies to small interactive and technology-based marketing organizations.
“We worked hard with Kukui IT to bring a classic old-Hawaii feel to the site,” says Michael Schmidt, principal broker for Coldwell Banker Bali Hai Realty. “Learning about this award is especially fulfilling because we really thought a lot about who we are, what we represent and how we could embody that into a user-friendly web site.”
