New Haven, CT (PRWEB) November 14, 2010
The Americas Property Awards in association with Bloomberg Television have announced that New Haven, Connecticut-based Pickard Chilton (http://www.pickardchilton.com) has won two Best Architecture Awards for the firm's design of the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) Headquarters Complex in Sacramento, California and Wells Fargo Financial in Des Moines, Iowa. The CalPERS Headquarters Complex won in the Public Service category and Wells Fargo Financial won in the Office category.
"Both of these buildings are the embodiment of our clients' dedication and vision," said firm Principal William Chilton FAIA, RIBA. “These awards are a fitting tribute to their unwavering commitment to design excellence in the workplace."
This is the second consecutive year that Pickard Chilton has had two projects recognized with the Americas Property Awards, the highly acclaimed property industry awards competition held yearly by the International Property Awards. The firm's designs for Atlanta's 1180 Peachtree and Chicago's 300 North LaSalle were both awarded the Architecture Award in 2009.
“It is an honor to again have our work recognized by an international jury of industry professionals,” said Jon Pickard AIA, RIBA Principal of Pickard Chilton. “I believe they recognized that each project specifically addressed the needs of both the client and community to create a unique and elegant architectural response."
All winning entries from the Americas Property Awards are currently in competition against other winning regional projects from Europe and Africa, the United Kingdom, Arabia and Asia Pacific to determine the "World’s Best" in each category. The results of the final competition of the International Property Awards will be disclosed at the gala presentation dinner in London on November 26th and 27th 2010.
