Northern Kentucky Lawyers Begin Move to eVoting

The Northern Kentucky Bar Association (NKBA) was in the market to move its annual Officers and Board of Directors election from a traditional mail-in paper voting platform to secure internet balloting.

To accomplish this evolution to greener, more efficient governance the NKBA settled on the Third Party Authority balloting management services of Seattle's Election Trust.

"Election Trust was able to offer over 98% of our members a secure electronic ballot leaving only a handful of eligible voters who required a paper, snail-mail ballot", said Julie Jones, NKBA's Executive Director. "Not only did membership appreciate this flexible, almost paper-free Hybrid balloting solution, Election Trust was extremely helpful in assisting us with this transition. We look forward to going 100% online with them in future elections".

Election Trust managed NKBA's internet balloting on its eVoting platform which is Secured by Scytl, the world-wide leader in research and development of reliable remote electronic voting technology.

"We specialize in enabling organizations in the migration of their voting membership to a secure, internet-based balloting solution", responded John Bodin, Election Trust's Managing Partner.

Bodin added, "We were flattered that NKBA not only put their faith in our Hybrid balloting platform but were satisfied by our end-to-end customer service. Having managed over 100 Elections we know that a successful election is not only about procedural integrity but making sure that the client is getting what they pay for: a hassle free experience".
