What do the Philadelphia Eagles, the NFL, and the Durty South Boyz all have in common, Michael Vick! The South Carolina trio, named the Durty South Boyz consisting of group members “Snakeyes”, "Al Nitty”, and “Lyrikal” have been riding a new wave of success with their recent signing of a worldwide digital distribution deal through Team Mashn/Universal Music Group. The Durty South Boyz latest single “Watch Me Throw It” (Da Mike Vick song) was released by Keith Clizark’s label, Team Mashn Entertainment. Clizark is an award winning 12x platinum producer known for his production on Snoop Dogg projects. “Watch Me Throw it” (Da Mike Vick song) has put a spotlight on the group. The song centers around Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick. The group spokesman Kamal “Snakeyes” Shabazz says that the song is a highlight to Michael Vick’s career. Snakeyes says that “Watch Me Throw It” was written to show kids that even if they get in trouble in life, that they can always turn a negative situation into a positive situation. Snakeyes the sports fanatic of the group even went on to say that he looks up to “Michael Vick” for holding his head high and getting back to his passion of playing quarterback for the NFL. Greg “Lyrikal” Harris also a father of two kids added that “it is always important for kids to remember their past by making a better future for them self. Lyrikal believes that Michael Vick and his brother Marcus Vick also a former NFL player for the Miami Dolphins really like the song a lot after the group met with the two brothers and gave them the song. “Marcus was really pumped up and excited that we did a song in his brother’s honor”, Lyrikal said. “Watch Me Throw it” (Da Mike Vick song) is currently on sale through online venues such as iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, iLike, Juno Download and other online sites. Since the release of their new single local radio stations have received an overwhelming request from fans to hear the song. Muhammad “Al Nitty” Shabazz one of the founding members of the Durty South Boyz stated, “It is a blessing to be given a chance for the world to here our talent, down here in South Carolina it is ten times as hard to break into the entertainment industry opposed to living in other states”. The group is considering numerous offers from several major record labels. When asked who they were interested in, the Durty South Boyz said that if the contract is right, that they would become a valuable asset to any record label. At this time we have not signed a deal, but we like Universal, Def Jam, and DTP (Ludacris label) just to name a few.
