The partnership will help US donors support a home and educational development for children of poverty-stricken families in Bangalore.

Give2Asia’s Fiscal Sponsorship helps approved Asia-based charitable groups establish a U.S. presence, provides professional donor stewardship, and makes possible tax-deductible support for Asia-based groups. Give2Asia currently provides fiscal sponsorship to over 100 charitable institutions across the Asia-Pacific region.

About Shishu Mandir

Indo-German couple Dwarka Das and Hella Mundhra founded Shishu Mandir in 1983 with programs focused on children’s education and long-term development. Shishu Mandir helps children who have grown up in underprivileged communities and provides them with a home where they can escape the cycle of poverty and illiteracy. Through its English medium education program, children’s home, and temporary shelter for women in distress, Shishu Mandir is working to ensure that disadvantaged children are given opportunities to reach their full potential. The organization opened a vocational training center in 2008 and offers classes on sewing, carpentry, electrical, computers, and other skills.
