Peter Pan Bus Lines is proud to be involved with a new campaign to support The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF) in their dedication to preventing breast cancer and finding a cure in our lifetime. Starting in November, and continuing over several months’ time, Peter Pan will feature motorcoaches with the BCRF’s logo and the message “Ride With Us ~ Help Fund the Cure!” on their Providence-based buses. Peter Pan will donate $1 from every regularly-priced ticket sold on the Providence-New York express service to BCRF for research programs to support lifesaving research.
Peter Pan and BCRF will kick off their special partnership on November 17th in New York City (Peter Pan’s main transportation hub for the Northeast) and Providence, RI. A joint news conference will be held at 10:00 AM in New York followed by a 1:30 PM event in Providence where Peter Pan will début their new motorcoaches sporting the BCRF logo.
“This is truly a very special relationship with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation” commented Bob Schwarz – Executive Vice President – Peter Pan Bus Lines. “Breast cancer affects so many families in a profound way; many of these families and their friends are our customers … their ridership with Peter Pan will contribute directly to supporting the BCRF.”
“We are thrilled to have Peter Pan Bus Lines join The Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s fight to end breast cancer,” said Myra Biblowit, President, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. “These buses will help spread the word about the Foundation’s work.”

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® was founded in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder as an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to funding innovative clinical and translational research. In October 2010, BCRF will award $33 million to 172 scientists across the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. Currently, more than 90 cents of each dollar donated to the Foundation goes directly to breast cancer research and awareness programs. And the American Institute of Philanthropy has awarded the Foundation its highest possible rating of A+. BCRF is the only breast cancer organization to receive this accolade, and is the only cancer organization to currently hold this ranking.
