Los Gatos, CA (PRWEB) November 16, 2010
Mark/Space, Inc., the leading developer of smartphone synchronization solutions for PC and Mac, has released an update to their Android personal information and media synchronization software, The Missing Sync for Android. Available immediately, version 1.5 builds upon the success of the popular application by adding full support of synchronization over USB cable connections and increasing the overall performance of media sync.
Both the Mac and Windows versions of The Missing Sync for Android have been updated to add full USB sync support for devices running Android 2.2 and newer. This is in addition to existing support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth based wireless synchronization. This update has also been optimized to improve file transfer speeds and performance of media file synchronization.
The Missing Sync for Android version 1.5 continues to provide best of class synchronization of contacts, calendar events and notes between Android-powered phones and Microsoft Outlook on a PC, or Address Book and iCal on a Mac.
Media files such as music, video photos and ringtones are transferred quickly from a computer to Android devices using USB, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth connections. The Missing Sync automatically syncs playlists from iTunes and Windows Media Player to an Android phone.
Mark/Space Proximity Sync is unique to The Missing Sync software, and keeps computers and devices in sync automatically over a wireless connection. Whenever the Android device is near the computer and on the same Wi-Fi network or Bluetooth connection, sync happens without user intervention.
The Missing Sync for Android software is available for Windows PC and Mac computers, and supports Android based phones such as the HTC EVO, Motorola Droid, Samsung Moment, and many other Android-powered phones from Motorola, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, LG, HTC and others.
FLIQ CALENDAR AND FLIQ NOTES UPDATES
Not only has The Missing Sync for Android received an update, but the companion Fliq Calendar and Fliq Notes applications are improved as well. Both updated apps are available for free in the Android Market.
Fliq Calendar works with The Missing Sync for Android to sync appointments to your smartphone from Microsoft Outlook and Apple iCal. In the new version, calendar colors can now be edited, and the user can specify a default calendar. For the first time, it’s possible to set the first day of the week to the user’s preference.
Fliq Notes adds a much-needed notes app to Android phones, making it easy to take notes and create memos right on the device, and then sync them to a PC or Mac through The Missing Sync for Android. Users can sort and find notes in a flash, and use categorization and priorities to help target important information. The updated Fliq Notes also adds category color editing to notes and memos.
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
Version 1.5 is a free update for all current owners of The Missing Sync for Android.
The Missing Sync for Android is available as an electronic download from the Mark/Space online store for US$39.95 for Windows PC or Mac.
Fliq Notes and Fliq Calendar are available free from the Android Market.
Support of specific synchronization features may vary depending on Android phone model and Android OS version. Read about device and OS requirements for specific features of The Missing Sync for Android at http://www.markspace.com/android.
