The Heraeus Solar Photovoltaic Component Division goes solar with a high yield Suntricity Power Station.

Suntricity Power has been known for high yield residential installations for the past three years

Heraeus Inc., a globally active industry leading photovoltaic component manufacturer, has taken the step towards energy independence by powering their Conshohocken Solar Photovoltaics Business Campus with a Suntricity Power solar energy system. Suntricity Power has been working with the company since earlier this year to engineer and install the 22.08 kilowatt photovoltaic array. The system required extensive engineering and fabrication prior to installation due the unique design and placement. The 2300 square foot rooftop array consists of a custom fabricated racking system mounted at a 34 degree at the southern edge of the facilities roof line. The installation required over 10 tons of steel to fasten the structure in place on the facilities hill top location.

The Conshohocken campus, located at the intersection of highways 76 and 476, will see a marked decrease in their energy consumption and carbon footprint. Over the next 15 years, Heraeus will save almost $50,000 in utility bills and earn over $117,000 from selling in the renewable energy markets.

The sites production will also be available via links at Suntricity Powers website, http://www.SuntricityPower.com. The complexity of this installation and the client being one of the largest PV components help to solidify Suntricity Powers new Commercial Installation Division. "Suntricity Power has been known for high yield residential installations for the past three years," stated Mark Hald, Suntricity Power, "Over the next few weeks we will be energizing an additional 105kW of Commercial Solar Installations."

Heraeus Conshohocken will also cut 535 tons of Carbon emissions over the next 25 years, making them a "green leader" in the Philadelphia region. Visitors to the company can view this power production and carbon reduction displayed in the lobby of the building via the online monitoring reporting from each solar module. Heraeus has now set the bar for others to follow in not only manufacturing solar products but also having their own installation.
