Saturated by too much biased news, two unemployed men launched a website about biased news.

Friends Michael Tedesco and Nicholas Howser recently launched a website that collects and analyzes headlines from across the media spectrum. Both 30 something men are among the ranks of America's long term unemployed. When they realized the countless hours per week both spent seeking out and absorbing news, mostly from biased media outlets, Tedesco and Howser concluded that perhaps they had unwittingly developed a new skill.

Their website, http://www.independeco.com, was launched in November, 2010, and collects headlines from across the media spectrum that link back to the original source. "But this isn't your run of the mill news clearinghouse," said Tedesco. "We judge them, too."

Independeco.com contains numerous pages that rate the bias of news personalities, rank the "Top Ten Sexiest Pundits" and has an editorial page. "We're even developing a ranking of the sexiest politicians," said Tedesco.

Tedesco and Howser, lifelong friends, each hail from the opposite sides of the political spectrum, something they consider a virtue. "Without question," Tedesco said, "the site will be balanced and not pick on one side more than another—hence the name independeco."
