Better Business Bureau of Greater Maryland welcomes Jason Goldsmith, CEO of CARCHEX, to the Board of Directors. He will take part in the governance of BBB’s operations.
Goldsmith provides entrepreneurial skills and experience in technology development, marketing and finance. The new Board member bought CARCHEX, a provider of mobile pre-purchase vehicle inspections in 2003. A year later, the company expanded consumer services by offering aftermarket extended warranties for new and used vehicles. Goldsmith has grown the company to more than 75 employees and 900 independent contractors in all 50 states.
SmartCEO Magazine recognized Jason Goldsmith this year for Excellence In Young Entrepreneurship. Inc. Magazine ranked CARCHEX 887 on its annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive compilation of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. CARCHEX is ranked 20th in the Baltimore area and 51st nationally in the consumer products and services category.

Prior to CARCHEX, the new Board member established and ran several Internet marketing businesses, including GoldNet, an interactive advertising agency, which later merged with e.magination. He founded and sold TheLoanPage.com, an online program generating leads for mortgage lenders.
”I’m proud and excited to join the BBB board,” Goldsmith said. “I plan to bring what I’ve learned in 15-plus years of online marketing and business development to the role, helping BBB develop ways to consistently analyze businesses accurately.”
