“With a sound reminiscent of artists such as Patti Smith, The Ditty Bops, and CocoRosie, Rose masterfully brings indie-rock, alternative, and folk to a whole new level..." - PERFORMER MAGAZINE
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 17, 2010
Los Angeles based indie darlings Arrica Rose & the …’s have just released their latest offering. Part folk, part dream pop and vintage rock, Antebellum is a collection of 3 songs from the band’s much anticipated full-length album and a sneak preview of what's to come.
After 2 highly successful indie releases in 2008 and 2009, being featured on NBC, added to the playlists of such notable stations as KCRW as well as charting on iTunes and college radio, Arrica Rose and The Dot Dot Dots spent the better part of 2010 recording their next endeavor with producer Dan Garcia (David Crosby, Christina Aguilera). The band recorded live to analog tape then layered the tracks with Rose's sultry vocals, Andrew Sister-esque harmonies, strings, horns, and pretty noise. The result: a collection of their most outstanding recordings to date, with a sonic quality hard to come by in the age of digital recording. 3 of these noteworthy tracks comprise the Antebellum EP, now available on iTunes.
