Palmdale, CA (PRWEB) November 17, 2010
Discount Tire/America’s Tire will be on-site to support the first ever Gymkhana GRID Ken Block Invitational kicking off at Toyota Speedway in Irwindale, CA. Competitors will range from rally racers such as Andrew “ACP” Comrie-Picard, to drifters like Daijiro Yoshihara, Stephan Verdier and Joon Maeng. Drivers will face off against Ken Block on a new Gymkhana course for exciting head to head racing action. This event will be the first of its kind, promising to not only to provide competitors with a new and exciting racing format, but also to give spectators a true, all-out, tire-smoking, sideways-sliding race. And all of this is just a glimpse of what will be coming from Gymkhana Grid in 2011.
“Having Discount Tire on board as the official tire retailer of the Ken Block Invitational is a giant step in the right direction for us,” said Chris Willard, president and founder of Gymkhana GRID. “They have been involved with motorsports for some time now, and their endorsement of Gymkhana as a motorsprot is very exciting for all us here at Gymkhana GRID!”
