Press8 Telecom (http://www.press8.com) saw the need for assistance in communications between the volunteers at Austin-based non-profit Homeless Coach and has donated free VoIP hosted PBX services to the organization.
Homeless Coach (http://homelesscoach.org) is a volunteer organization fiscally sponsored by the Austin Community Foundation a 501c3. The group has worked with local businesses to completely renovate an RV being used for community coaching of the homeless in Austin, TX.
"We met with the organization,” says Martin Field, CEO of Press8 Telecom, “and after seeing what a great idea they had, we wanted to help. We setup a Press8 VoIP hosted PBX account for them and a conference bridge. Now the Homeless Coach volunteers can easily hold unlimited attendee conference calls anytime day or night.”
According to the Austin/Travis County Ending Community Homelessness Coalition, the homeless population count in the Austin/Travis County area in 2010 was 2,585.
“We feel privileged to be a part of the Homeless Coach team and want to do anything we can to help them succeed.”
Mr. Field has also been donating his time to help with the renovations. The Homeless Coach RV will be unveiled on November 28th in Pflugerville, TX.
