Heart House Dallas Presents 6th Annual Grape Escape

Heart House Dallas, a free afterschool educational program for at-risk children in Dallas County, presents its 6th annual Grape Escape to celebrate the organization’s tenth anniversary. Candee and Matt Fleeger are the Presenting Sponsors. The popular fundraiser will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2010, 6:30-9:30 PM at Shortell Design, 1115 Dragon Street, Dallas TX 75207. Cliff Harris, a former professional football safety with the Dallas Cowboys, is Grape Escape’s Honorary Chairman.

“This year’s Grape Escape promises to be truly a ‘one of a kind’ and fun event that benefits Heart House Dallas, an incredible organization,” said Leesa Ratliff Alhadef, Co-Chairperson, 6th Annual Grape Escape.

The 6th Annual Grape Escape offers numerous wine and food offerings, Grapetinis, a Scotch-tasting from well-known bottlers, and a silent auction. Highlighting the evening’s activities is a gypsy dance show featuring a Flamenco dancer and a belly dancer from Alcantara Entertainment Arts.

The Grape Escape supports Heart House Dallas’ mission to provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive haven for at-risk children at the apartment complexes where they live. Heart House Dallas offers various academic programs that include homework assistance, citizenship and character development, math, science, and literacy lessons. The Heart House Dallas environment helps these children through each success to build their self-confidence significantly both at school and in life and the opportunity to become the best they can be as individuals.
