Portland, OR (PRWEB) November 18, 2010
Continuum Health Alliance, LLC has selected Ignis Systems to provide integrated lab orders management for all of its electronic medical record (EMR) application services. Beginning with a group of more than 300 physicians in New Jersey, Continuum will use Ignis’ EMR-Link product to electronically share orders and results with national reference labs as well as local and regional labs and radiology services.
Joseph Coyne, Continuum’s President of Information Technology and CIO, found Ignis to be the obvious choice. “Unlike a conventional EMR or HIE interface, EMR-Link really optimizes usability for physicians and staff,” stated Coyne. “By combining the routing, insurance requirements, and lab rules into the EMR workflow, EMR-Link enables physicians and staff to focus their attention on patient care. These are precisely the efficiencies that Continuum strives to deliver to all of its clients.” Coyne added that Ignis’ deployment tools will save weeks of effort in their rollout to each new clinic.
“We are very pleased to be working with Continuum,” remarked Ken Willett, CEO of Ignis Systems. “They have an outstanding reputation for freeing the provider to focus on patient care, something that is central to our mission as well.”
