Summit Industries, a leader in diagnostic radiographic equipment, announces the appointment of M. Thomas Boon as the new president of the organization. Mr. Boon joins Summit effective November 22, 2010 and replaces Jim Walsh as President of Summit Industries. Mr. Walsh will continue in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Summit, while Tom leads the company with the operational assistance of Summit's newly promoted Joe Flies in the capacity of Senior Executive Vice President.

Summit Industries announces the appointment of M. Thomas Boon as the new president of the organization. Mr. Boon joins Summit effective November 22, 2010 and brings over 35 years industry experience.

Mr. Boon replaces Jim Walsh as President of Summit Industries. Mr. Walsh will continue in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Summit, while Tom leads the company with the operational assistance of Summit's newly promoted Joe Flies in the capacity of Senior Executive Vice President.

Mr. Boon's broad career within the radiographic industry includes general management, business development, and relationships with suppliers, distributors and customers. Prior to joining Summit, Tom was President and CEO of Imaging Dynamics Company (IDC) and held several senior leadership positions at Del Medical Systems, AGFA Healthcare Corporation, and Eastman Kodak Company.

Mr. Walsh stated, "Tom brings a passion to Summit for continued excellence and a focus on partner relationships that has made Summit a leader in our markets. He will fulfill our vision to dominate the radiographic marketplace with best value equipment, while allowing me to transfer overall leadership of our company to him."
