..the great thing about working with Doozy of a Deal, is that there are very little demands on our staff and volunteers. All we do is inform our supporters about the Doozy ‘Gives Back’ program, and they do the rest..

Back in March when the owners of DoozyofaDeal.com launched one of the first ever “deal of the day" websites that gives a percentage of all sales back to the local community, they never imagined hitting the $10,000 mark in donations this quickly.
Started by two Scottsdale parents of school-aged children, Dean and Andi Barness sought a creative way to aid local schools and non-profits in their fund raising efforts by connecting local families with local businesses.
Their methodology was simple: Local businesses benefit by gaining broad exposure to new customers while offering a fantastic deal to subscribers, who, upon purchasing the publicized deal, get to pick the local school or non-profit of their choice as the benefactor. For each “Doozy of a Deal” sold, the company donates 7.5% of the sale back to their partner schools and charities. From this unique concept, the Barness’ launched their company and the slogan of “Save Big, Spend Less and Give Back” was born.
DoozyofaDeal.com has championed this effort by aggressively growing their subscriber base of self-proclaimed “Doozies” and by making great strides in expanding their base of schools and local non-profits to include organizations like Phoenix Children’s Hospital, AZ R.E.S.C.U.E. and the Arizona Humane Society.
Andi Barness, President of DoozyofaDeal.com comments, “We’re absolutely thrilled with the rapid success we have experienced in such a short period of time. It’s a real testament to our overall business model and it proves that at the end of the day, our Doozies love giving back to their community!”
Doozy’s leading partner charity shares Barness’ sentiment: “We appreciate every dollar that we get from our community. Phoenix Children’s Hospital holds many, many fundraisers every year, and the great thing about working with Doozy of a Deal, is that there are very little demands on our staff and volunteers. All we do is inform our supporters about the Doozy ‘Gives Back’ program, and they do the rest,” explains Will Mandeville, Director, Corporate and Business Giving, Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, DoozyofaDeal.com is a “Deal of the Day” website born out of frustration for the ineffectiveness of school fundraising. The founders of the company hit upon a great idea: “What if we could connect families with local businesses, AND benefit schools in the process?” From that notion, DoozyofaDeal.com was started and evolved to include charities as well. DoozyofDeal.com features daily discounted deals from local businesses and is unique in their model as the company donates 7.5% from every sale back to the subscribers’ chosen school or charity.
