ATCO Completes Workforce Housing and Training Complex for Nomac Drilling

ATCO Structures & Logistics today announced the completion of the Nomac Eastern Training and Housing Facility - a workforce housing and training complex that provides accommodation, real-life support services and training space for Nomac Drilling personnel working in the Marcellus Shale region of northern Pennsylvania. Nomac Drilling is a subsidiary of Chesapeake Energy.

“Demand for accommodation in this region is high,” said Harry Wilmot, Presdent & Chief Operating Officer, ATCO Structures & Logistics. “We are pleased that we were able to provide Chesapeake Energy with a quality facility in a timely manner.”

Six dormitory-style units will provide housing for 276 residents. The facility includes a kitchen, dining lounge, laundry area and a recreation complex, including a gym, TV lounge, internet centre, ping pong and pool tables. As well, the complex hosts a training center, complete with computers stations.
