Chile has a long history of pioneering revolutions, considering the 2008 elections, and with our tools, the Internet can be used as a great equalizer within Latin American politics.
(PRWEB) November 19, 2010
Ravi Singh, CEO of ElectionMall.com, is scheduled to speak at the first annual Personal Democracy Forum in Latin America to promote eDemocracy.
This speech will be part of the digital revolution in Latin American and will mark the launch of a new Latin American office, which will offer ElectionMall’s campaign and election tools tailored to Chilean market and other Latin American countries.
Over the past year, ElectionMall has provided technology to campaigns around the world ranging from Ukraine, Malaysia, through-out Europe, and most recently in Colombia. ElectionMall continues to be a pioneer in campaigns and elections and earlier this year ElectionMall and Microsoft announced a new partnership to provide a one-stop-shop of technology and services for political campaigns.
Singh is excited to convert this technology to make it applicable to all Latin American politics, in the hopes of increasing participation in the Democratic process as democracies continue to mature.
“Chile is the perfect opportunity,” comments Singh. “Chile has a long history of pioneering revolutions, considering the 2008 elections, and with our tools, the Internet can be used as a great equalizer within Latin American politics.”
As of 2008, Chile had a 50.4% internet penetration level, an increase of 6% increase from 2007. Facebook use is currently at 44% of the overall population, demonstrating the level of active internet participation and hinting at all the possibilities waiting for all political organizations.
“With the rise of social networks and mobile devices, campaigns have a great opportunity to engage with their constituency,” says Singh. “With our 10 years of experience in the space, I am confident that when ElectionMall makes these technologies available it will empower the every candidate and help increase political participation.”
Singh will be speaking at 3:00 pm at the conference, which is taking place at Telefónica Towers, to usher in this new revolution.
Singh will be available for interviews. To schedule an interview, please contact Richard Griffiths +1 (917) 463-4231 or press(at)electionmall(dot)com.
