Major changes to education funding which are due to take effect in September 2012 will affect thousands of people considering going into higher education. This means that this January’s courses are more important than ever before. As an extra encouragement to potential new students Kaplan Open Learning has launched a “Refer a Friend” offer for anyone taking their distance learning course.
The government have proposed major changes in higher education funding which are due to take effect in September 2012. These sweeping changes mean it has never been a better time to study for a higher education qualification.
Any students who start courses in 2011 will be part of an elite group who will be amongst the last to benefit from government funding. The understanding amongst education experts is that those who are already studying prior to September 2012 are likely to be unaffected by the proposed changes, so the strong advice from Kaplan is to complete any courses as swiftly as possible.
The Academic director for Kaplan Open Learning commented: “These are the biggest changes to education funding for many years and the cost of investing in a degree course will put many people off. Many of our courses are vocational and incredibly valuable for people embarking on new career paths, or wanting to move up the ladder – it would be a crying shame if such people put their education plans back on hold.”
The Kaplan Open Learning “Refer a Friend” scheme will reward any new students that are recommended with £50 Amazon vouchers. Full details can be found at the Kaplan Open Learning website http://www.kaplanopenlearning.org.uk/
Kaplan are now enrolling for the next intake on the 11th January, and there is no time like the present to start a degree course with KOL.
