Gerald Bass has been named Northeast Regional Sales Manager for TSHS, LLC, manufacturer of Mystera® and Transolid® solid surface products. Bass has over 20 years of sales leadership in the solid surface industry, including experience at Dupont, LG Chemical and Aristech Acrylics.
Bass served as Regional Sales Manager at Aristech Acrylics where he managed multiple accounts and independent distributors in the northeast and Canada. In that capacity, he upgraded distribution in several key markets and developed and built key relationships with fabricators, retailers, contractors, millwork houses, and architects. During his tenure at Aristech, sales revenue for the northeast region increased 312%.
Bass also worked as Director of Sales & Marketing for Mobile Fab, Inc., a patented on-site solid surface fabrication system. While at Mobile Fab, he created sales aides, marketing materials, and website and developed a national lead referral program with solid surface manufacturers and distributors.
Most recently, Bass spearheaded double-digit growth as Regional Sales Manager for Nichiha, a global leader in the production of fiber cement siding.
“We are fortunate to have Gerald join our sales team as we continue to grow the Mystera® and Transolid® brands through traditional industry channels of distribution,” said Robert Wiltcher, Vice President of Sales.
Bass said, “Transolid® is a great brand with a fantastic reputation in the solid surface industry and Mystera® has a beautiful distinctive look. Both have virtually unlimited growth potential through specification. I’m excited about this opportunity to apply my industry experience to grow these brands in one of the hottest solid surface markets in North America.”
Bass holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Georgia. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, International Surface Fabricators Association, and the National Home Builders Association.
