'Design classic', the term is loved, but lamented in its misuse. So Orlebar Brown have embarked on an ongoing mission to redefine the concept. Having set the tone through collaborations with Bill Amberg and Monocle, things are now being taken up a notch with the launch of a new limited edition with Eley Kishimoto.
This British/Japanese duo are admired globally for the combination of creative flair and precision that typifies their work, a design ethos that's been the benchmark of Orlebar Brown's design right from the start. Excited to announce that the iconic 'Flash' print is now making an inimitable mark on 3 classic shorts - Men's Bulldog and Dane and Women's Whippet styles. Somewhere between Houndstooth and Bridgette Riley Op art, 'Flash' has become one of the most intelligently worked graphic prints of the recent times.
The limited edition prints are available in three striking colours from http://www.orlebarbrown.com as well as Selfridges from mid November, Barneys (New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas) and Louise Boston (Boston) both from December as well as Fred Segal (Los Angeles) and Wynn (Las Vegas) from March.
A contemporary design classic from day one.
