Mav6 LLC today announced the hiring of Ken E. Wilson as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Wilson joins Mav6 amid the recent expansion of the company’s operations in Mississippi, North Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia to apply his breadth of C4ISR integration experience to ensure successful execution of the Air Force Blue Devil airship development effort.
Mr. Wilson held multiple positions at Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems from 1990-2008. He retired from Northrop Grumman in 2008 as Vice President, C4ISRT Networked Systems. From 1966-1990, Mr. Wilson led a distinguished career in the U.S. Army, where he held leadership positions in the Armor, Infantry, and Aviation communities. He retired from the Army in 1990 after achieving the rank of Colonel.
Mr. Wilson assumed the position of Mav6’s Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer effective November 8, 2010. Mr. Wilson said, “I am very pleased to join Mav6 at a time when the company is implementing a unique approach to Defense technology innovation in order to more rapidly provide capability to the Edgefighters. I also want to be a part of significant growth opportunities resulting from this agile approach. Mav6, formerly known as ARES Systems Group, was established in May 2007 by Major General Buford “Buff” Blount, USA (Ret.) and Mr. Adam Jay Harrison to fill a need in the global defense and security market for rapidly conceived, concept-to-implementation technology solutions to emerging global security challenges.
