The Whiskies of the World Expo is one of the largest consumer-tasting events in the country and has grown over the years to become a much anticipated San Francisco staple. The Expo hosts hundreds of whisky expressions from the most well known brands to small independent bottlers and craft distillers. The Expo brings together distillers and blenders from all over the world in a celebration of distilled spirits. Educational seminars are provided so that consumers can sample and learn what makes the whiskies unique. Not only is the event a grand tasting for whisky novices and experts alike, it is educational and entertaining. Focus is on the flavors and aromas of the whiskies and the distillation and maturation process which creates them as well as how complex and fascinating the brown spirits are and how they can be paired with Artisanal foods, cheese, chocolates, cigars.    Additionally, there will be mixology booths using whisky to demonstrate the art of creating fine cocktails. Complementary cigars will be available on the top deck of the boat as well as a Cigar/Whisky pairing Masterclass.

The Artisanal Spirits Fest is an important part of the show as American Craft distilling is a rapidly growing segment of the market. Small distilleries are starting up all over the United States and their product is becoming much sought after by connoisseurs. Although the focus is whisky, the Artisanal Spirits Fest portion of the show includes a variety of non-whisky distillates.
