“I wanted this Christmas to be about giving to those in need, not about me getting things I don’t really need." - Sheila, a participant in the project.

Toccoa Falls Radio and Gospel For Asia have created a one-of-a-kind “Christmas Music Radio Station.” GFAChristmas.Net (http://www.gfachristmas.net) is available on the internet and through the WRAF iPhone app. What makes this format unlike any other is the ability listeners have to purchase life-changing Christmas gifts for the less fortunate in South Asia.
GFAChristmas.net is your destination for popular Christmas selections from: Natalie Grant, Steven Curtis Chapman, Point of Grace, Michael W. Smith, Third Day, Amy Grant and many more of today’s most loved Contemporary Christian Artists. When you tune in to GFA Christmas.net you’ll not only hear the uplifting sounds of the season but important information on the WRAF / Gospel For Asia Christmas Catalog project.
WRAF (http://www.myfavoritestation.net) station manager Bryan Race says; “We are encouraging listeners to take the money they would normally spend on frivolous gifts, the ones that wind up being re-gifted, and use those funds to show God’s love in a very practical way.” The concept is already connecting with listeners looking for ways to make Christmas more meaningful. “I wanted this Christmas to be about giving to those in need, not about me getting things I don’t really need. Thanks for this opportunity to celebrate Christmas in a giving way to someone truly in need” wrote Sheila, a participant in the project.
Gifts available for purchase include a wide range of food and income producing animals such as chickens, pigs, and even a water buffalo. Other catalog items available are Bibles, water purifiers, sewing machines and even the construction of a fresh water well for an entire village. One of the more popular items is a rickshaw which provides people the opportunity to make a living by providing much needed transportation. Gospel For Asia has selected the Dalit people of India to be the recipients of the gifts purchased by the GFAChristmas.net and WRAF listeners. 100 percent of the funds raised will go directly to the work in South Asia.
1-877-209-0826 is a special toll-free phone number set up to help listeners make purchases. Those wishing to get involved online can log on to http://www.gfachristmas.net. Race challenges listeners, “tune in and discover how every gift purchased from the catalog can literally change a life and help families break the cycle of poverty.”
WRAF is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 radio ministry of Toccoa Falls College.
Gospel For Asia is a Christian missionary organization, focused on spreading the Gospel to India and surrounding countries through the use of national missionaries. GFA is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
