Telluride Gay Ski Week 2011 Readies For Icy Hot, Wet and Wild Week

The producer of Telluride Gay Ski Week, the top ranked gay ski week in the U.S.A by Gay.com, announced today the entertainment line-up and schedule of events for the 2011 winter event (“T-11”)which will be held February 26 through March 5, 2011. 2011 marks the 8th year of the event and will consist of an exciting mix of events; including the ever popular White Night Party, a special one-night performance by the Kinsey Sicks and the return of the original gay ski week pool party reinvented as WET and hosted by Reichen Lehmkuhl, star of the LOGO TV’s The A List: New York. Other scheduled events include Après Ski at the Suede Bar, the OSCARS® Watching Party, the daily, late-night Nightcaps Lounge show and the Fang-Banger Friday closing party.

2011 marks the return of the original gay ski week pool party. Reichen Lehmkuhl of LOGO TV’s A-List New York serves as celebrity host of the evening as we welcome guests to a night of Splish! Splash! fun, music and drink all at 9,000 ft above sea level.

Lehmkuhl will join a diverse list of celebrity guests and entertainers which currently includes, Kinsey Sicks, international producer / DJ Casey Alva, OutMusic Awards nominee Gary Floyd, LA-based crooner Joe Lupariello, Dallas-based DJ duo OB Jen and Juice and the triple-breasted queen of comedy Nuclia Waste.

SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS:

WET Pool Party. 2011 marks the return of the original gay ski week pool party. Reichen Lehmkuhl of LOGO TV’s A-List New York serves as celebrity host of the evening as we welcome guests to a night of Splish! Splash! fun, music and drink all at 9,000 ft above sea level in the Capella Hotel.

White Night Party. White Night is largest and most popular dance event each year as ski weekers and residents converge on The Peaks Hotel for a night of high energy music. For 2011, we welcome
LA-based, international producer and DJ Casey Alva and Dallas-based DJ duo OB Jen & Juice

Kinsey Sicks. Telluride welcomes the popular Kinsey Sicks for a one-night only special performance to support the local art’s community at the Sheridan Opera House. Critically acclaimed for their off Broadway performances, The New York Times calls the Kinsey Sicks “the hottest ticket in town… taking the cabaret world by storm… voices sweet as birdsong.”

Nightcaps Lounge. For all the cabaret lovers, there is a new addition to the ski week event calendar – the Nightcaps Lounge. Nightcaps is T-11’s late-night lounge show at The Peaks Hotel each evening featuring OutMusic Awards nominee Gary Floyd and LA’s Joe Lupariello. .

Back for 2011 is the all-inclusive T- Pass** providing guests access to all Telluride Gay Ski Week-produced events and activities. This year, guests will have the option to purchase either a full or half-week T-Pass. The full-week T-Pass is only $199 (a $300 value) and the half-week T-Pass is only $99.00 (a $150 value) – both passes provide holders special offers and exclusive benefits. The half-week T-Pass can be purchased for the first of second half of ski week – either Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Friday.

The 2011 T-Pass goes on sale today via the official ski week website. A special, early-bird price of only $150.00 for the full-week T-Pass will be available thru December 31st.

** NOTE: Neither the full-week nor half-week T-Pass includes admission to the Kinsey Sicks performance or the Telluride AIDS Benefit.
