"We have been a long-time Gold Enterprise Management Alliance Partner (EMAP), and realize the stringent guidelines to become SLI certified,” said Brendan F. Reidy, President and CEO, Clarus Systems.

Clarus Systems, Inc., a leading provider of integrated Voice over IP (VoIP) management software and services for Unified Communications, today announced that its signature product, ClarusIPC Plus+, has been certified as a Smart Link Integration (SLI) for HP Network Node Manager i 9.

By definition, a Smart Link Integration is an out-of-the-box component linking the ClarusIPC Plus+ application with HP products. This, in turn, extends the management capabilities for joint customers.
ClarusIPC Plus+ SLI for HP NNMi 9, an integrated solution, maximizes Cisco IP Telephony availability by testing and monitoring end-user calls for problems such as call setup failures, poor voice quality, fraud or incorrect routing. When any irregularities are encountered, SNMP traps are forwarded to HP Network Node Manager i -- automatically creating actionable incidents that can be evaluated immediately by the designated IT or telecom professional.

With this integration, users will have more insight and remote testing and troubleshooting capabilities at their fingertips and will be able to:

  •     Monitor the daily Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Unity systems for add, remove and update configuration changes
  •     Perform automated end-user tests, on-demand or schedules as Daily Health Checks, and receive integrated alerts when test fail
  •     Cross-launch into the ClarusIPC Plus+ remote phone control application to troubleshoot issues using actual phones
  •     Cross-launch into the ClarusIPC Plus+ Help Desk application to view phone/line settings, recent call history and compare configurations of “trouble” and “reference” phones

Enterprise customers can use ClarusIPC Plus+ and HP NNMi 9 to trim costs and maximize their system availability by resourcefully managing their Cisco IP Telephony and Unified Communications systems. The combination of HP Network Node Manager and ClarusIPC Plus+ SLI provides IT operations staff visibility of their Cisco IP Telephony and Unified Communications applications and automates identifying problems and expediting repairs.

“We have been a long-time Gold Enterprise Management Alliance Partner (EMAP), and realize the stringent guidelines to become SLI certified,” said Brendan F. Reidy, President and CEO, Clarus Systems. “As a result, we build our products with careful attention to engineering. We truly comprehend the powerful customer benefits that result from being part of the strong HP community. Any down time is costly, and by working in tandem with HP, our goal is to ensure customers have service availability and achieve peak performance no matter what their business is.”
