San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) November 25, 2010
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! And speaking of ‘lots,’ opening day for The Guardsmen Christmas Tree Lot at Fort Mason Center is right around the corner.
"It is with enormous pleasure and anticipation that The Guardsmen announce the opening of our 63rd annual Tree Lot!” says Marc Baluda, the 65th President of the Guardsmen. “Since 1947 we've been serving youth through our fundraisers such as the Tree Lot, and we look forward to opening our doors to the community.”
The Guardsmen Tree Lot is a beloved San Francisco tradition, designed to spread holiday cheer while giving back to the community. The proceeds from Christmas tree sales go towards sending over 2500 at-risk, inner-city Bay Area youth to summer camps and over 250 to private school.
The Tree Lot opens on Saturday, November 27, and will be open from 9am – 9pm daily through Saturday, December 18.
In addition to tree sales, the Tree Lot will feature special holiday events, including:
- Opening Day (Saturday, Nov 27, 9am – 9pm)
- Wine Tasting (Tuesday, Nov 30th, 6pm - 9pm)
- Children's Day (Friday, Dec 3rd, 4pm - 6pm)
- Wine Tasting (Tuesday, Dec 7th, 6pm – 9pm)
- Crab Feed & Festival of Trees (Thursday, Dec 9th, 7pm – 9pm)
