L.A. Entertainment, a sports and entertainment production company, has joined forces with America One, one of the largest international sports satellite companies in the world, in a multi-million dollar agreement to broadcast live professional Boxing. America One, a broadband and television network, reaches a broadcast audience of over 63 million households in the US and Caribbean and includes a wide range of exclusive, first run and original sports programming. Since the advent of cable and direct satellite subscription, live boxing matches have been dominated by “Pay Per View” programming. Filling the void of the now defunct ABC’s Wide World of Sports, L.A. Entertainment’s partnership with America One aims to bring Boxing back to the fans and “re-build” the brand.

This groundbreaking venture is led by Sherry Dana, Principal and President of LA Entertainment. Dana was previously Vice-President of Finance and Public Affairs for United Capital Funding Group, a venture capital firm. She also served as Senior Financial Consultant with Platinum Worldwide Investment Group, where she successfully structured the film financing for the hit films El Padrino (2003) starring Faye Dunaway and Hair Show (2004) starring Oscar winner, Mo’nique. She later transitioned her experience in entertainment finance and production, into collaboration with veteran promoter and boxing management consultant, Sterling McPherson (Sterling Productions and Big Vision Film and Production Company). Dana’s work with McPherson inspired her to form L.A. Entertainment whose focus is the development and production of major boxing matches.

“ We remember the time of the great matches, Ali, Frazier, Foreman, and any given Friday or Saturday night a nail-biting bout could be seen,” states Dana, Preident of L.A. Entertainment." America One has the technology and the ability to reach a vast global audience. We will provide quality talent, connect with fans and reclaim and rebuild the audience for pro Boxing."

The America One partnership will create a tremendous platform for championship, and talented up and coming, fighters. These international broadcasts will provide exposure and opportunities that have become depleted in professional boxing; featuring legends such as five- time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield and multiple champion Roy Jones Jr., considered by many the best pound for pound fighter in the world. The younger rising stars will be introduced on the under cards. These fighters will gain valuable exposure by being aligned with boxing greats. Boxing fans will once again have the opportunity to see, first hand, talented boxers on display and the making of future champions.

The partnership between L.A. Entertainment and America One is primed to become a force in the world of boxing. With exclusive rights to all promotional media coverage in the boxing industry, Sherry Dana will be bringing boxing back to its roots and will once again give access to millions of fans around the world.
