Kalstar Names Tom Kimball Vice President of Operations and Innovation

Third-party logistics provider Kalstar Enterprises has named former Kraft Foods executive, Tom Kimball, its new Vice President of Operations and Innovation. Tom will be responsible for all of Kalstar's distribution operations for Procter & Gamble and his focus will be on streamlining these operations and driving innovation to improve supply chain performance.

Third-party logistics provider Kalstar Enterprises (http://www.kalstar.com) today named former Kraft Foods supply chain executive, Tom Kimball, its new Vice President of Operations & Innovation. As Kalstar’s primary liaison to Procter & Gamble (P&G), Kimball will focus on streamlining Kalstar’s P&G operations and driving innovation to improve supply chain performance.

Prior to joining Kalstar, Kimball was Senior Director of Network Demand and Inventory Management at Kraft Foods, where he led an SAP Business Process Management (BPM) team that saved Kraft millions. The team used process mapping tools to redesign process flows in order to improve order fill capabilities and increase truckload utilization.

Kimball has held multiple managerial roles related to distribution, manufacturing, and transportation during his 22-year tenure with Kraft Foods in the U.S., Canada and Europe. His last international assignment for Kraft was as Senior Director of Customer Supply Chain for the European Union. In this role, he implemented supply chain programs and collaborative solutions with key European customers, including Carrefour, Metro, Tesco, Sainsbury and Aldi. Kimball led an SAP order-to-cash and supply chain team that operated within 23 countries working in 21 languages and 11 currencies.
