Macquarie Telecom, Australia’s number one managed hosting and business-only telecommunications company, has signed a three-year contract to provide data and server hosting services for IPscape, Australia’s leading cloud-based customer contact technology provider. The colocation deal will see Macquarie Telecom host IPscape critical applications in its ISO and ASIO T4 certified data center, the Intellicentre, ensuring business uptime 24/7/365.
IPscape uses modern cloud-based technologies to deliver a customer contact platform that can be operational in hours and adjusted to suit the minute-by-minute needs of the customer contact team for clients such as BT, Teleperformance, SP AusNet, Delfin Lend Lease and the Northern Territory Government.
According to IPscape CEO Simon Burke, the signing is an important partnership in the growth of cloud-based communication and the IPscape solution.
"Macquarie Telecom understands the intense business and performance requirements demanded by voice communications in the cloud," said Burke. "While we have built redundancy and disaster recovery facilities into the solution, it’s vital that the underlying infrastructure steps up in terms of uptime. Macquarie Telecom adds to IPscape world-class infrastructure in a cost-effective, PCI compliant environment."
Macquarie Telecom’s top security credentials, experience and proven ability to handle IPscape’s expected growth were key criteria in the agreement. Macquarie Telecom will provide cloud enabled services as well as manage routers, switches, firewalls and internet services for IPscape, supported by Macquarie Telecom’s Australian based 24/7 customer service centre, the MacquarieHUB.
"IPscape holds a unique position in the Australian market with an ethos and vision closely aligned to Macquarie Telecom’s," said Aidan Tudehope, Managing Director of Hosting. Macquarie Telecom.
"As well as being the safest and most secure data center in Australia, Macquarie Telecom is also Australia’s most certified data center, with ISO 27001, AS7799 and PCI accreditation. This is absolutely critical to a company that offers cloud-based services on demand. The agreement allows IPscape to focus on its core business growth and strategy rather than managing critical infrastructure."
