SELUX Corporation, a manufacturer of exterior and interior lighting systems, has selected BuyDesign Channel Sales from TDCI to provide a new generation of quoting and ordering capabilities to their network of sales representatives and agents throughout North America. The new solution will be integrated with SELUX’s Infor ERP SyteLine business system.

TDCI, Inc. (TDCI), the leading provider of configurator-based software solutions, announced today that SELUX Corporation (SELUX), a manufacturer of exterior and interior lighting systems, has selected BuyDesign Channel Sales from TDCI to provide a new generation of quoting and ordering capabilities to their network of sales representatives and agents throughout North America. The new solution will be integrated with SELUX’s Infor ERP SyteLine business system. BuyDesign Channel Sales is a web-based quoting, proposal generation, and ordering solution designed for use by a company’s direct and indirect sales channels. It is one of a family of BuyDesign Guided Selling solutions built around BuyDesign Configurator, which is the foundation of the product configurator within SyteLine.

“With the sales growth we are experiencing in North America and Internationally, we want to offer our agents a more powerful capability for specifying, quoting, and selling our make-to-order products,” said Veit Mueller, SELUX President. “BuyDesign will give us the tools we need to help our sales people accelerate the sales process while ensuring accurate product specifications and pricing.”

“BuyDesign Channel Sales is the natural choice as the platform for our next generation quoting and ordering system because it’s already integrated with SyteLine,” added Brenda Shaffer, SELUX Vice President. “Even more importantly, it’s built on the same product configurator we use for order entry within SyteLine. That means we can leverage a single base of product information for all our sales, order processing, and manufacturing activities.”

By selecting BuyDesign, SELUX plans to replace an in-house developed sales tool with a configurator-based solution that is fully supported by Infor and TDCI. Infor and TDCI recently announced an expanded relationship for sales and support of BuyDesign with Infor ERP SyteLine and other Infor ERP solutions.

Shaffer summarized saying: “By moving to BuyDesign, we will have a more robust product configuration, quoting, and ordering solution while at the same time freeing SELUX from the need to internally maintain custom software. We also like the fact that Infor and TDCI already work closely to support the integrated BuyDesign and SyteLine solution.”

Implementation services for BuyDesign will be provided by TDCI, as well as Infor Channel Partner, RSVP Business Systems, Inc. (http://www.rsvpinc.com).
