Last year on Monday 30 November we received more than 1.6 million visits to the site and more than 18,000 home delivery orders were placed.

The last Monday in November and first Monday in December are traditionally the biggest days for online sales pre-Christmas, when UK shoppers log on to order their festive bargains from toys to laptops for home delivery. This year Argos is predicting that 29 November will be busiest for online delivery orders, falling as it does after the last pay day before Christmas, but still allowing plenty of time for delivery and wrapping before Christmas.
Matt Roberts, e-commerce marketing controller says: "Last year on Monday 30 November we received more than 1.6 million visits to the site and more than 18,000 home delivery orders were placed."
However, being a 'Clicks and Bricks' business Argos will continue to see online activity increase the closer we get to Christmas as customers Check & Reserve items online to collect and pay in-store at their convenience.
Matt Roberts continues: "Last year our biggest day for online reservations was Tuesday 22 December when more than 355,000 items were reserved for customers to collect the next day."
Top sellers driving Cyber Monday will be audio gadgets such as the iPod Touch and iPod Nano; Toy Story toys like Ultimate Buzz Lightyear and Mr Potato Head; and the latest video games Call of Duty: Black Ops and Gran Turismo 5.
The busiest day of the year for online traffic to Argos.co.uk is set to be Boxing Day when millions of festive revellers take a break from entertaining family and watching Christmas TV to log on and be the first to grab a bargain in the sales. Argos saw 1.8 million visits to the site on Boxing Day 2009.
