WHAT: Join Royal Caribbean International and more than 3,500 guests via live video web streaming of the naming ceremony of Allure of the Seas, the cruise line’s newest and world’s largest and most revolutionary cruise ship. The ceremony will be held dockside prior to the ship’s departure on a one-night sailing to benefit the cruise line’s charity partners.
The ship’s surprise godmother also will be revealed in the ceremony, which will be held in Allure of the Seas’ Amber Theater, and include a customary pipes-and-drum procession, a performance of a scene from Royal Caribbean Productions’ new aerial production Blue Planet and then culminate with the traditional breaking of a champagne bottle on the ship’s hull.
