Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) November 30, 2010
In honor of the recent re-opening of the Crocker Art Museum, the Sacramento Hostel is offering a "Mansion 2 Museum" package which includes a two-night stay, museum admission, a Sacramento Gold Card, and welcome chocolates by Cocoa Bella.
The Sacramento Hostel is housed in the 1885 Llewellyn Williams mansion, a "sister" to the mansion which houses the Crocker Museum. Located one mile apart in downtown Sacramento, both were designed by architect Seth Babson for families made wealthy by the Gold Rush. In October the Crocker unveiled a major expansion, which juxtaposes contemporary architecture with the original Victorian structure.
Mansion 2 Museum package rates are $125 (a $58 savings) for two guests in a private room with shared bath, or $50 (a $21 savings) for one guest in a shared dorm room.
In addition to the museum package, the hostel is running a "Keep the Change" winter discount which offers $25 off a three-night dorm stay.
Both the Mansion 2 Museum package and the Keep the Change rate must be booked in advance by phone at 1-916-443-1691. Both are available through February 28, 2011 (no blackout dates).
The Sacramento Hostel is within easy walking distance of Old Sacramento, the State Capitol, downtown shopping and dining, and several museums and State Parks. The hostel offers both private and dorm room accommodations, and guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen and dining room, two antique parlors, and two recreation rooms. Amenities include free WiFi, secure parking, and on-site laundry.
The Sacramento Hostel is operated by the Golden Gate Council of Hostelling International USA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting intercultural understanding, environmental stewardship, and world peace through travel.
