The South Florida Interactive Marketing Association (SFIMA), the region’s top forum for interactive marketing professionals, recently hosted the 7th Annual Nautical Networking Event (NNE) on October 22, 2010. Presented by BGT, Adobe’s Omniture Business Unit and ATG, and sponsored by ExactTarget, the region’s top interactive marketing event of the year was attended by over 250 industry-leading professionals.
The theme of this year’s sold-out event, which took place along Ft. Lauderdale’s Intracoastal Waterway, was “All Hands on Deck.” Attendees enjoyed dinner, cocktails, dancing, dessert and coffee as they networked aboard one of South Florida’s largest private yachts, the Biscayne Lady.
“This year’s Nautical Networking Event was a huge success,” said Travis Berger, President of SFIMA. “It truly was the region’s number one networking event of the year in our industry. Thank you to our incredible sponsors for helping to make this event the best one yet.”
During the pre-boarding party, SFIMA announced the establishment of the Future Digital Leaders Scholarship with the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University. “SFIMA’s goal is to support future digital marketing leaders in the South Florida area,” said Berger. SFIMA will award a yearly scholarship of $3,500 for five years to graduate students studying marketing or entrepreneurship.
