Record company MGM-PYE-PATHE RECORDS releases the classic "Deck of Cards" by sensational young artist Nicole. It tells the moving story of a soldier during the Second World War accused of playing cards in church.

I defy anyone listening to Nicole recounting this story not to be moved to tears.

Giovanni Di Stefano head of MGM-PYE-PATHE RECORDS released today "Deck of Cards" by a sensational young artist NICOLE. The story is recounted in Italian by Nicole with the English Translation on the video. DECK OF CARDS is a story set during World War II, where a group of soldiers, on a long hike during a campaign in southern Italy, had arrived and camped near a town named Cassino. While Mass is being read, one man who has only a deck of playing cards, pulls them out and spreads them in front of him. He is immediately spotted by a sergeant, who orders the soldier to put them away (thinking he's playing cards in "church"). The soldier is then arrested and taken before the commander to be punished. The commander demands an explanation, to which the soldier explains the significance of each card and how each is related to the Christian values of life.

The story ends by saying that "my deck of cards serves me as a Bible, an almanac and a prayer book." It closes by stating that "this story is true as the soldier was my grandfather.” What happens to the soldier? Hear the story and find out!

Giovanni Di Stefano said that the performance from such a young artist as Nicole exemplified the talent that is waiting to be given a chance. " Taking a hit record such as Deck of cards and recording it with a young artist in Italian and it coming out so great is truly rewarding in so many ways," said Di Stefano.

Peter Ware who produced the record and who wrote the background music with Giovanni Di Stefano said it was "one of the most challenging experiences in over 30 years in this business."

Giovanni Di Stefano said that a special edition of the disc would go to main leaders of religion throughout the world as the story "tells of human values and I defy anyone not to be moved as Nicole recounts the story."

12 year old Nicole said, "I enjoyed doing the recording, it was great fun and the story is a good lesson for all people to always hear an explanation."

The record is available on the record company website and on the Record Mirror.
