Menlo Park, CA (PRWEB) December 1, 2010
Elastic Intelligence, a startup that offers SaaS providers a means for quickly providing users with flexible reporting solutions, today announced that it has raised a total of $3.4M in venture backed financing led by Alsop Louie Partners and CAP-Idea. Joe Addiego of Alsop Louie Partners and Dan Buckstaff of CAP-Idea have joined the Elastic Intelligence Board of Directors.
The company’s flagship product, Demand Reports, features a new architecture that encompasses not only SaaS reporting requirements, but also the way these reports access data in hosted applications. The Demand Reports platform was built to be a scalable, multi-tenant SaaS solution that is readily integrated into the user interface of any SaaS solution. It integrates around three “touch points” between a SaaS application and the Demand Reports site for data access, single sign-on (SSO) and user interface (UI) integration.
Elastic Intelligence was founded by Silicon Valley software pioneer Roger Sippl, who has founded a number of highly successful startup companies, including Informix Software (now part of IBM), Vantive Corporation (now part of Oracle), and Visigenic (acquired by Borland). In addition to Sippl, the Elastic Intelligence Executive Team includes Chief Executive Officer Neil Blumenfield and Vice President of Engineering Chris Maloney.
About Elastic Intelligence
Users of SaaS applications expect to have the same level of business intelligence that exists for applications residing behind the company firewall. Unfortunately, for most SaaS solutions, this is a costly and time-consuming distraction. Elastic Intelligence was founded to solve this problem by providing SaaS companies with an easy-to-integrate, white-label business intelligence component for their solutions.
