Jamie Turner — author of “How to Make Money with Social Media” and chief content officer of the 60 Second Marketer (http://www.60secondmarketer.com ), the online magazine for Atlanta digital and direct marketing agency BKV — was named “Social Media Marketer of the Year” by the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG).

Turner, who accepted the award at the first annual Tech Marketing Awards event on November 18, was honored for his ability to create social media campaigns that drive outstanding marketing performance.

“Jamie is well known in the industry for designing smart social campaigns that generate measurable results. He’s helped many of our clients grow sales and revenue with his outside-the-box thinking,” said Maribett Varner, president, BKV.

Open to all Georgia-based technology marketers, the Tech Marketing Awards are given in 10 categories and are sponsored by TAG Marketing, a society of the nonprofit Technology Association of Georgia. BKV was the only company to have more than one finalist chosen from its staff. Other BKV finalists included Raphael Rivilla for “Search Engine Marketer of the Year,” Kyle Wegner for “Up & Coming Marketer of the Year,” and Jerry Gentemann for “Mobile Marketer of the Year.”
