Now is the time to make reservations for the 2011 Firearms Engravers & Gunmakers Exhibition, at John Ascuaga's Nugget, in Reno/Sparks, NV, Jan. 28-30. The exhibition is a joint effort of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild (http://www.ACGG.org) and the Firearms Engravers Guild of America (http://www.FEGA.com).
Also participating are select members of the American Bladesmith Society, the Contemporary Longrifle Association and the Knifemakers Guild. Hours for the exhibition are Noon to 9 p.m., Friday; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $20 per person per day.
To reserve a hotel room at John Ascuaga's Nugget, call (800) 648-1177 and use Reservation Code GFIRE11. Dec. 19 is the deadline for reservations. The room rate is $107 per night, plus tax and fees.
The exhibition's Annual Banquet and Auction takes place Saturday, Jan. 30.
"Cocktails begin at 6 p.m., followed by an outstanding Nugget dinner," organizers said. "One cocktail drink coupon is included. All tickets must be paid in advance and are not refundable. Reserved seating will be assigned by table number when you pick up your tickets."
Cost to attend the Banquet and Auction is $47 per person or $376 for a table of eight. The menu includes mixed salad, seafood stuffed chicken breast, risotto, asparagus, bakery rolls, lemon mousse, and coffee or tea.
"Please contact Patti if you have any dietary issues with the menu," a spokesperson said, "and help us plan by reserving your banquet tickets early. Please reserve by Jan. 10th."
