Bundle, a recommendation engine for smart spending and saving decisions based on 20 million data points, today announced the launch of Restaurant Recommender and Move-O-Matic. These free consumer applications are the first in a series to bring together hyper local information that helps people better forecast their daily spending.
Bundle released Restaurant Recommender and Move-O-Matic first in a series of tools since Americans spend a large majority of their disposable income on eating out and often are unaware of the differences in cost of living from one neighborhood to the next. Both tools are based on behavioral data from actual credit card transactions as opposed to people’s one time product reviews and anticipated actions. By building the recommendations engines on top of purchasing data, Bundle can calculate what people truly value based on where they spend their money over and over again.
Initially launching in New York City and Los Angeles, Restaurant Recommender uncovers where people in your city eat out most frequently and measures the average monthly dining out expenses per neighborhood. After inputting a restaurant, users can discover where other people who liked that restaurant also ate frequently based on Bundle’s proprietary Loyalty Index.
Available for nationwide use, Move-O-Matic lets users compare how current neighbors in their income bracket spend versus future neighbors in a new zip code or city. By inputting a destination city name or zip code, users see how much money they’ll save or lose on shopping, eating out, travel and entertainment when relocating, as well as compare two potential destinations side by side.
