33Across Inc. today announced that Adwait Ratnaparkhi has joined the company as Chief Scientist and Scott Schwanbeck joined as VP Business Development. Both Ratnaparkhi and Schwanbeck will serve as members of the 33Across executive team.
Adwait Ratnaparkhi brings extensive experience in the development of advanced ad targeting systems that yield dramatic lift for marketers. As Chief Scientist, he will oversee all research and development related to the company’s proprietary social targeting platform. Ratnaparkhi joins 33Across from Yahoo! Labs where he led a team of scientists that developed Yahoo’s “look-a-like” modeling product for display advertising. “Adwait is an accomplished research scientist and engineer,” said Eric Wheeler, CEO of 33Across, “We’re excited to add his deep experience in machine learning, natural language processing and search technologies to our outstanding R&D team.”

Scott Schwanbeck brings over 14 years of business development experience to 33Across, and in his role as VP Business Development, he will oversee all data, distribution and corporate partnerships at 33Across. Schwanbeck joins the company from Drop.io where he was responsible for all strategic partnerships, revenue deals and partner integrations, including Drop.io’s world-wide integration with Yahoo! Mail. Drop.io was recently acquired by Facebook. “Scott is one of the best Business Development executives in the industry and his particular experience in leading large-scale partnerships will be critical as our incredible growth continues to accelerate,” said Wheeler.
