Now in it’s 15th year, Enterprise Data World (EDW) and DAMA International have announced this year’s Conference Keynote Speakers. They are:
The conference will take play April 3 – 7, 2011 at the Chicago Sheraton and Towers.
“These keynote speakers at Enterprise Data World have been selected to provide a range of perspectives, some practical and current, others thought-provoking and futuristic,” said Tony Shaw, Program Co-Chair of the event. “ But needless to say, all are relevant, insightful and entertaining and will give the audience memorable guidance for their professional careers.”
Kicking off the keynote presentations on Tuesday, April 5th at 8:30 AM, Karel will present “Avoid Process Data Headaches: Align Data Management and Business Process Initiatives.” His presentation will touch upon data management, data quality, and data warehousing strategies. Karel has more than 14 years of data management experience, working both business and IT roles to develop solutions that provide better quality, confidence in, and usability of critical enterprise data.
The second keynote, Gunton, will share his experience on April 6th at 4:45, about making Life, the Emmy award winning wildlife series made by the BBC with the Discovery Channel. Gunton will discuss the massive job of managing the data and metadata of the media, for production, publication and making it available for use by the public during his presentation, “The Making of LIFE: Camera! Action! Data!” Gunton was the series editor for The Natural World for three years and an executive producer on numerous films and series, including Ultimate Killers, Galapagos, David Attenborough’s Life in the Undergrowth, and Alan Tichmarch’s British Isles: A Natural History.
The final keynote presentation,“Long Fuse, BIG BANG: Achieving Long-term Success Through Daily Victories,” will take place on April 7th at 11:10 by Haseltine. During his presentation Haseltine will give attendees practical strategies on how to see through blind spots and look towards the future for revolutionary ideas, emphasizing that long-term thinking is the key to success and survival in an era of accelerating change. Haseltine is a Ph.D. and former intelligence officer and entertainment executive was was formally trained as a neuroscientist.
