Kansas City BBQ Authors Win International Cookbook Award

Kansas City Authors Jason Day and Aaron Chronister Were Awarded "Best Barbecue Book" in the US from the 2010 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards for their book BBQ MAKES EVERYTHING BETTER.

Authors Jason Day and Aaron Chronister were notified with a letter of congratulations from the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. Their recently released cookbook, BBQ Makes Everything Better is the United States winner for the 2010 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in the “Best Barbeque Book” category.

By taking this top honor, they now quality for the “Gourmand Best In The World” competition where they will compete against winning BBQ cookbooks from other countries. The results will be announced on March 3, 2011 at the Paris Cookbook Fair.

Day and Chronister are best known for their recipe called Bacon ExplosionTM , a bacon-stuffed, bacon wrapped smoked Italian sausage, that became an internet sensation landing them and their BBQ techniques in the national spotlight. Immediately following appearances on Fox News, CNN and a mention on Good Morning America the duo were approached to write a barbecue cookbook. In May 2010 Scribner published their first cookbook BBQ Makes Everything Better.

In BBQ Makes Everything Better, Day and Chronister round out their repertoire presenting mouth-watering, easy-to-follow barbecue recipes for any occasion. Light-hearted in tone and full of easy-to-follow instructions, BBQ Makes Everything Better is the complete barbecue cookbook.
